One of the best parts about the warmer months is being able to don a clean pair of white sneakers without having to compete with snow, mud, salt, etc. This Adidas x Barneys New York collaboration takes a page out of the Common Projects minimalist sneaker book and delivers an upgraded version of the iconic Stan Smith silhouette. Versatile, comfortable, and more affordable than similar models (CP, Acne, APC), these are a no-brainer for leather sneaker enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a classic white sneaker with a modern edge. For this outfit I stuck to the minimalistic approach, with a solid maroon T, black hat and slacks with very subtle patterning. In this case, I didn't feel the need to accessorize, letting the combination of classic colors speak for itself. But make no mistake, these Stan Smiths don't have trouble being dressed up, and work seamlessly with anything form shorts to a suit. Suffice it to say they'll be a staple of my wardrobe for the foreseeable future.
