Discovering the 8315-2 GMT

A travel-ready, vintage-inspired release from Serica

Did you know there's a French watch brand making a COSC-certified, 200m water resistant, GMT under $2,500? It’s time to talk about Serica.

Founded in 2019 Serica was born out of a simple desire: to return to the golden age of watchmaking by creating sophisticated mechanical watches. A collection that started with field watches soon expanded to dive and dress watches along with my personal favorite the 8315-2 GMT. Its distinctive 24-hour bezel and ‘Lollipop’ GMT hand combine materials like enamel, ceramic and sapphire to give life to a distinctive automatic timepiece. Water-resistant to 20 bar, in a perfectly-sized 39mm case. It’s the best of both worlds between comfort and elegance, durability and sophistication.

This reference introduces Serica’s integrated, guilloché end-pieces and Sport Strap: a rubber strap that looks and feels like leather, while remaining water-resistant and extremely durable. The Desert Rose color theme is unique while remaining easy to wear. With an msrp of $2,164 the GMT offers a unique, vintage-inspired aesthetic packed with modern technology at an attainable price point.
