How to Style the Camel Coat

If I had to choose one essential outerwear piece for the colder months, it would be the camel coat—ideally double breasted in a wool and cashmere fabric, just like this one from Indochino. The possibilities with this coat are truly endless and while almost any color scheme can work, my favorite way to style it this season is by adding more camel into the equation.

This is about as close as I’ll get to monochromatic camel look, with the white trousers serving as a neutral middle ground between the top and bottom halves of the outfit. In other words, they provide balance. They help highlight the suede loafers while also accentuating the length of the coat; I had this one cut extra long so it falls below the knee, as I believe a topcoat should.

The finishing touch here is the addition of the Rado Captain Cook Bronze Burgundy, whose bronze case perfectly complements the coat while it’s laser-engraved ceramic bezel and burgundy face allow it to pop as the only other color on display. This is definitely a combination I’ll keep coming back to throughout the winter months.
